Description

A scarce 19th century map of Arabia, published in 'A Comparative Atlas of Ancient and Modern Geography, from Original Authorities, and Upon a New Plan, for the Use of Eton School'. Despite the date detail in the interior and Persian Gulf is scant: neither Riyadh nor the Qatar peninsula are shown. E.P. Williams was a bookseller who specialised in supplying Eton School with textbooks, including Latin and Greek texts and grammars he published himself. He also published 'The Eton School Lists, from 1791 to 1850, which listed the 'Provosts, Fellows, Head and Lower Masters, and Assistants'.
