Description
A rival to John Nash's plan for a new street linking Carlton House, the palace of the Prince Regent (later George IV) to his new estate in Regent's Park, proposed by architect James Wyatt (1746-1813). Instead of the sweep of the Quadrant, Wyatt's plan took a strait route through Golden Square to Great Portland Street.
Also shown are proposals for work around Pall Mall, Jermyn Street and what was to become Trafalgar Square.
