Description

A large map of the world on Mercator's Projection, updated from the issue of 1748 without changing the date 1748 in the imprint. It shows the complete coastline of New Zealand and Western Australia, as mapped by Captain Cook in the early 1770s, but not Hawaii, the Bering Straits and the other discoveries of Cook's Third Voyage.
