Description

A 17th century chart of Brazil, orientated with north to the right, printed from the second plate used in Blaeu atlases, replacing the plate Willem Blaeu bought from the heirs of Jodocus Hondius jnr. It has a dedication to Krzystof Arciszewski, a Polish general in the service of the Dutch West India Company in Brazil.

Minor spotting.
