Description

An early example of the Blaeu map of Provence in South of France, published in the second edition of the 'Appendix Theatri', which was issued the same year as the first edition. It is decorated with ornate cartouches for the title and scale, three armorials, two compass roses and a vignette sea battle between two galleons and a galley.

Condition:

Split in centre fold repaired.
