Description

This two-sheet bird's-eye view of Antwerp was prepared for Volume V of Braun & Hogenberg's 'Civitates Orbis Terrarum', published 1598. These large maps are often badly damaged because they were folded several times to fit into the atlas: however this example is in surprisingly good condition.

Condition:

A few small repairs to binding folds.
