A decorative 18th century map of France

Fine example of this scarce 1770 edition of the Kingdom of France divided according to the military and regional divisions, prior to being replaced by départements. This edition includes a highly decorative architectural border frame showing cherubs, globes and garlands, this border has been refined and embellished following the first appearance in the 1766 deluxe edition of the map.
