Description

An informative map of French Canada, with the St Lawrence River, a scarcely-recognisable Great Lakes and Chicago ('Chegakou'). The map was designed to highlight the opportunities for traders, with the borders full engraved text listing tribes, animals, birds and much more Most important is the list of animal pelts that the Indians traded and their current value, including beaver, fox and wolf, and what the Indians would take in trade, including guns, tobacco and 'Beaucoup d'eau de Vie' ('A lot of Brandy'!).
