Description

An uncommon Dutch derivative of George Foster's map of 1739. While the detail on the map is in English there is a second title in Dutch indicating the description of the city and table of fares of Hackney Coachmen and watermen. he extents of the map are New River Head, Wapping, Lambeth and Hyde Park Corner. It includes a planned development around Cavendish Square in Marylebone that was never carried out.
