Description

A large and detailed chart of the Brisbane River, as suveyed by John Oxley before any sign of the colony in 1823, prior to the founding of the colony there in 1825. The chart was engraved by Ambroise Tardieu and published as plate 43 of 'Voyage autour du Monde, executé par ordre du Roi, sur la Corvette de sa Majesté, la Coquille, pendant les années 1822, 1823, 1824 et 1825'.

Condition:

A good example.
