A detailed sea chart of Hokianga Harbour, New Zealand

A detailed chart of Hokianga Harbour, marking the site of a Maori hippah, based on a survey by Captain James Herd of the cargo ship 'Providence', who visited the area in 1822, returning to London with a cargo of logs. The chart was engraved by Ambroise Tardieu and published as plate 46 of 'Voyage autour du Monde, executé par ordre du Roi, sur la Corvette de sa Majesté, la Coquille, pendant les années 1822, 1823, 1824 et 1825'.
