Description

A large and detailed seachart of the environs of Manawaora in the Bay of Islands, surveyed by officers of the French expedition led by Louis-Isidore Duperrey. On their voyage around the world the expedition spent two weeks in the bay. The chart was engraved by Ambroise Tardieu and published as plate 20 of 'Voyage autour du Monde, executé par ordre du Roi, sur la Corvette de sa Majesté, la Coquille, pendant les années 1822, 1823, 1824 et 1825'.
