Description
A fine miniature atlas, with maps by famous engravers including Kitchen, Gibson & Ellis. The atlas was first issued by Dury and Sayer alone in 1761, during the Seven Years' War (accounting for the large folding map of Canada). This example, with Carington Bowles as co-publisher, has had French sur-titles added, suggesting that, with hostilities over, that France was again open to British business.
