Description
A pair of decorative sea charts showing from the Cape of Good Hope to northern and western Australia, orientated with north to the left, including Sri Lanka, Japan and the Philippines and the western coasts of New Guinea and Australia.
The Dutch discoveries in northern Australia are marked, including those of Abel Tasman's second voyage of 1644, although Tasmania, discovered by him in 1642, is omitted.
These are unrecorded states, with plate numbers in the corners.
