Description

A map of the Holy Land, orientated with north to the right. Although most of the detail is biblical, for example the drowned cities of Sodom and Gomorra in the Dead Sea, there are references to Baldwin IV of Jerusalem's attack on the Saracens in Damascus in 1175. Sir Walter Raleigh's wrote 'The Historie of the World in Fives Bookes' while he was imprisoned in the Tower of London, having been convicted of treason.

Condition:

A good example.
