Description

A scarce map of the Great Lakes after the French cartographer Bellin, published the year before the start of the 'Seven Years' War (or 'French and Indian War'), in which the British drove the French from mainland Canada. The 'R. et Port de Checagou' are marked, as are tribal lands and the various tributaries of the Mississippi River.
