Description

Hondius's large-format carte-à-figure map of Italy, with decorated borders containing twelve prospects, including Rome, Naples, Venice, Florence, Genoa, Verona, Parma, Siena, Pozzuolo, Velletri, and eight costume vignettes and six armorials. This example comes from the original state; a second state of 1628 has a new title and Jansson's name as publisher. A rare item.
