16th century woodcut map of Asia according to Ptolemy

A Ptolemaic map of Asia showing from Turkey and Arabia east to the Ganges and north to the supposed kingdoms of the Hyperboreans and Anthropophagi. It was engraved by Honter and published in his 'Rudimenta Cosmographica', a cosmography for schools written in verse because Honter believed it would make the text easier to remember.
