Description

Rare 1781 edition of Jaillot's map of the Holy Land, engraved by Cordier and originally published with decorative cartouches for the title and scale. The Jaillot family sold up their business in 1781: Desnos bought much of their stock, reissuing this plate with only yhe date changed. It shows the Holy Land after Sanson, divided into the Twelve Tribes with decorative cartouches for the title and scales.

Condition:

A good example.
