Description

A fine example of this map of the Arctic Circle, showing as far south as the British Isles, Novaya Zembla, the Strait of Anian, Labarador in Canada and the mythical islands of Friesland and Bus. Unsigned, the map was probably engraved by Abraham Goos for Jansson's edition of the 'Atlas Minor', first published in Latin the same year.

Condition:

A good example.
