Description
An early hydrographical map of the Southern American continent, marking rivers, the Andes with a huge underground lake and Walter Raleigh's 'Parime Lacus'.
The map was published in the 'Mundi Subterranei', by Athanasius Kircher, a Jesuit scholar who was one of the first compilers of knowledge of the physical features of the world.
