Description

A separate-issue plan of Goletta, a star fort protecting the entrance to the Lake of Tunis. It was begun by the Spanish after they captured Tunis in 1535 but didn't prevent the Ottoman's reclaiming the city in 1569. Spain captured it again in 1573, only to be evicted permanently the following year.

Condition:

A good example.
