Description
The majority of the maps are by Bonne, but there are also contributions from other cartographers such as Janvier and Rizzi-Zannoni. Most maps are dated between 1771 and 1773, but the Catalogue lists maps up to 1779. The double-hemisphere world map shows Cook's discoveries in Australia and New Zealand, but not Hawaii. The maps of America and North America, both dated 1762, depict the fictitious 'Mer de L'Ouest' in the north west.
