Description

A map of Minorca with insets of the southern coast of Spain and a plan Port Mahon detailing the British defences at St Philip's Castle. Bottom right is egraved French text describing the island and port. The mapping is the work of Captain Clement Lemprière (1683-1746), as published by John Rocque in 1753. This version copies the secondary French title on the original but omits the prospects of Mahon and St Philip's Castle.

Condition:

Small stain and tiny worm hole on map.
