The last London Frost Fair, held in 1814
Frost Fair on the Thames in February, 1814. The beginning of the year 1814 was remarkable for the severity of the weather. In the beginning of Feburary, the Thames being choked up with Ice, and in many places completely frozen over, Booths were erected in all directions between London and Blackfriars Bridges; Bullocks and Sheep were roasted whole. and all the unsual Sports and Festivities of a Fair were kept up for several days.

Description
A rare popular print of the last Frost Fair held on the Thames in London, looking towards Blackfriars Bridge and St Paul's Cathedral. The ice filled with tents selling food and drink, a game of skittles, horse racing and other activities. However more that one person is depicted falling through the ice.
To the left is a printing press: it is known that several printmakers published souvenirs such as this one on the ice.
