Description

An exquisite miniature map of Surrey, published as the Ten of Hearts for set of playing card maps of England and Wales. First published in 1676, these small maps were the first series of county maps to have roads shown, only a year after Ogilby's road atlas, 'Britannia'. This card comes from the second state, which appeared later the same year, with the names of the adjacent counties added.

Condition:

Trimmed, as issued.
