Description
A decorative map of the world according to Claudius Ptolemy, set within a decorative border of clouds and wind heads. This new block was introduced into Munster's 'Cosmography' in 1588 to replace the earlier map cut in 1540.
Very rare to find these Munster maps in original colouring.
Condition:
