Description
The first issue of this pirate edition of the Ortelius 'Epitome' pocket atlas, produced by Pietro M Marchetti. Apart from the first plate, a 'Carta Marina' after Giacomo Gastaldi, the maps reproduce the Philip Galle plates, probably copied from the official Italian-text edition of 1593.
Condition:
A few small tears, occasional old ink marginalia in Italian.References:
