Description
A grumpy Death sits on a globe, his skull resting on his hand. He holds a Time's Arrow and wears a crown. Scattered under the globe are guns and knives, a keg of gunpower, a cup of arsenic and containers of drugs, compounds and opium.
From 'The English Dance of Death', illustrated by Thomas Rowlandson, one of the most important satirists and caricaturists of the period.
