Description
A very close copy of D'Anville's map of the upper Eastern Seaboard, showing from Newfoundland south to New York and Long Island. The title is on a skin hanging from a tree, above a canoe and a beaver.
Brothers Francesco and Paulo Santini were the editor and engraver respectively of their 'Atlas Universel', first issued in 1776, before selling the plates to Remondini in 1781. A fine example
