Description
An imaginary view of the Destruction of Jerusalem by the Babylonian king Nebuchadnezzar in 587BC, with the Temple of Solomon on fire.
The view was published in the famous 'Nuremberg Chronicle'. On verso are several more woodcut illustrations, including a scene with the last king of Judah, Zedekiah, being taken to Babylon, having been blinded after being forced to watch his sons die.
