Description
A map of North America from the Great Lakes south to Panama, with the West Indies and insets details of Panama, Havana, Cartagena and Vera Cruz. The map is marked with the routes of the Spanish treasure ships; this and the large sea battle illustrated bottom left highlight the tensions between Britain, France and Spain in the region.
The map was engraved by Tobias Conrad Lotter, Seutter's son-in-law and successor, based on Delisle's map of 1703.
