Description

Two maps on one, sheet, with Jamaica at the top and Barbados underneath. Each has its own decorative title cartouche with a coat of arms, scale of miles, compass rose, and vignettes of sailing vessels and sea monsters. The plate was engraved by Francis Lamb.for inclusion in the 1676 edition of John Speed's 'Prospect of the Most Famous Parts of the World', one of four maps of the new British colonies ion the Americas.
