Description

A detail from the famous panorama of London by Johannes Kip. Although the focus is on London Bridge, it also shows the buildings on the Thames waterfront, including Fishmongers Hall, Billingsgate & Customs House, the Monument, and churches from St Mary Abchurch in Cannon Street east to All Hallows-by-the-Tower. It also retains the heads of criminals decorating the gatehouse of the bridge.
