Description
A rare map of London, decorated with inset prospects of London, St James's Palace, the Queen's Palace (Buckingham Palace), the Monument, Westminster Abbey & St Paul's. A table gives a key for the wards.
George Thompson (1758-1826) was a very successful London publisher, despite most of his output being derivitive; he left an estate worth £70,000 although this was much reduced by the legal wrangles over the will that lasted until at least 1834.
