One of the most detailed maps of the Galápagos before Darwin

An early map of the Galapagos Islands, published in the 'Atlas Universel de Geographie', less than a decade before the visit of Charles Darwin aboard the 'Beagle'. As the 'Atlas Universel' was the first atlas to have every map on the same scale, 1:1,641,836, this is one of the most detailed maps of the islands.
