Description
A large and colourful reproduction of Martin Waldseemuller's 1516 wall map of the world, copied from the only known surviving example, in the Jay I. Kislak Collection at the Library of Congress. It is filled with an extraordinary collection of vignettes, including Prester John in Africa, cannibals in South America and suti (burning of widows) in India.
