Description

The route of a voyage across 'The Great Ocean of Experience', starting at Dark Bay and passing the Coast of Ignorance, Dissipation Island, Endeavour Island, the Coast of Hardship to the Land of Knowledge. An explanatory text runs down both sides of the fan. It was engraved by Vincent Woodthorpe (c.1764-1822), an engraver and printer of Fetter Lane, who engraved maps for Faden and Laurie & Whittle as well as Wallis.

Condition:

One small hole, slight wear at folds.
