Description

A colourful map of Australia, with most detail shown around Botany Bay, Perth and in the inset of Tasmania. Almost all the interior is blank, with Western Australia named as 'New Holland' even though the British formally claimed this territory in 1829. A rare state, not listed in Tooley. This example has 19 named counties in New South Wales but none in Western Australia; the edition Tooley lists for 1833 has 14 counties in Western Australia.

Condition:

A good example.
