Description
A decorative wind rose, set in a pedestal with four wind heads, with a background of columns and pyramids. The rose is orientated with north to the bottom, the names given in Latin.
The plate was published in 'Oculus artificialis teledioptricus sive telescopium', a book about the construction and use of scientific instruments written by Johann Zahn (1641-1707)
