A miniature view of Diu (in north-west India, not Arabia), engraved after Braun & Hogenberg, but with a vignette of a pair of spinning tops. Above is a Latin motto, 'Stat sua Cuiq Dies', with another line of Latin text and a four-line verse in German underneath. Neither the figures nor the texts appear to relate to Diu.
Meisner's book of town plans originally appeared in 1623 with only 52 plates. In 1624-6 it was re-issued with 416, and again in 1638-42 with a new title, 'Sciographia', and 800 plates, each plate with a letter before the pagination, as this example.
