A reduced version of Hondius's 1606 map of Persia, engraved by Pieter van den Keere for Cloppenburg's version of the 'Atlas Minor', the largest of the Mercator pocket atlases.
On the map 'Persia' incorporates much of Afghanistan and Pakistan; the Caspian Sea is still a wide oval.
