A miniature map of the Philippines, decorated with a sea-battle and a title cartouche in the shape of a scallop shell supported by hippocamps and a merman.

It was published in the 'Description de l'Univers', a five-volume work by Mallet (1630-1706), a military engineer, cartographer and mathematician in the service of the French King, Louis XIV.
