Decorative map of the county of Essex, with armorials, a royal crest and putti, first published in Blaeu's atlas of the British Isles in 1646.
Bottom left is a little depiction of London, with the Norman St Paul's Cathedral, 20 years before the Great Fire of 1666 destroyed the building. On verso is a diagram of ancient barrows with deep burial chambers.
