In stock

A detailed plan of the Siege of Sevastopol, marking the locations of the British, French, Turkish and Sardinian troops and their Russian opponents.
Wyld's adoption of lithography to print his maps allowed him to frequently update this map during the course of the war, even making changes within an edition. This example, published the month that the siege began, refers to the Battle of the Alma, 20th September 1854 (only a month earlier) in the list of Wyld's war publications.
By November 4th, less than two months later, the Fourth edition was published.
