A map of Sweden, with insert maps of the environs of Gothenburg and Fredrikstad. A third inset is an anthropomorphic map of the Baltic Sea as Charon, the mythological ferryman, after Olof Rudbeck.
The map is dedicated to John Carteret (1690-1763, later 2nd Earl Granville) who, as ambassador to Sweden from Hanoverian Britain, helped Sweden at the end of the Great Northern War.
