In stock

A splendid bird's-eye view of Venice engraved by Julius Milheuser and first published in Mortier's continuation of Johannes Blaeu's townbooks of Italy, the 'Nouveau Theatre d'Italie...'.
It is a close copy of Jan Jansson's prospect of 1657, the only differences being a few new boats and changes to the Fondamenta Nouve and Arsenal. As it was only included in posthumous editions of the Townbooks, it is comparatively a scarce issue.
