Uncommon plan of Frankfurt am Main, taken from a birds-eye perspective from across the River Main. Along the lower border are three vignette scenes: the Emperor entering the city, with the Imperial eagle hovering symbolically overhead, a fine prospect of the city from across the Main, and an allegorical scene with Mercury, the god of trade and commerce, pouring money into the sea-shell, symbolising the city's coffers.
