A detailed map of central London, published for German tourists visiting the Great Exhibition of 1851, with the original position of the 'Crystal Palace' shown on the south edge of Hyde Park. Above the map are views of the Crystal Palace and the Houses of Parliament, still under construction and without the Clock Tower of Big Ben, and a caprice based on the royal arms.
