A beautifully engraved map of London encompassing Regent's Park clockwise to Islington, the River Lea, East India Docks, Greenwich, Camberwell, Battersea and Chelsea. The London and Greenwich Railway is marked. Underneath is an extensive key to streets with a grid reference.
The 'large plan' referred to in the title is Richard Horwood's map, first published 1799. Faden acquired the plates and published an extended second edition in 1807, a third in 1813 and a fourth in 1819. He began issuing this map in 1818 as an index map to the Horwood, continuing with updated editions until 1846.
